Started my fourth day here at the firestation. I had two calls yesterday, one actual fire and an auto motor scooter wreck. The fire was caused by a candle in the living room but didn’t spread too far. Last night was uneventful so I got to sleep all night. That’s always a plus. I’ve had two calls each of my three days so I guess I’ll have to have two today just to keep things even. The scooter wreck with the car involved one of those new mini cycles that all the kids are getting. Suffice it to say that very young kids are driving those and they are very hard to see from an automobile. We called the PHI helicopter for that wreck. The coffee is really good as usual this morning. My wife was off from work yesterday and my mom was feeling a lot better. She said the night before was the best night’s sleep she’s had since she got here. We are still trying to get her red blood count up. It was very low when she got here. Tomorrow she is going to the doctor to get an iron shot and then to the optometrist to have the scratches on her eye checked again to make sure they are getting better. Over and out.
