This shot was taken from pretty much right in front of where uncle Ben’s house used to be. It’s down the road toward where i remember there used to be a mule driven mill that ground up sugar cane for the making of sorghum molasses, yum. http://www.watervalleybb.com/index.shtml that prob. won’t come across as a link but it is for the b&b in wv that used to be Frank Dodson’s store. I found out that Leiper’s creek was named after a Captain Leiper who owned some land in the late 1700′s in this area. There is some very interesting history about a church of Christ in Leiper’s Fork, just up the road. more later
