Man, after 16 days off on vacation, who wants to come back to work, back to the old grind?  Not me.  I must be getting really close to wanting to retire, to see the value of being lazy and doing just what I want to every day.  Of course that retirment dream isn’t the way it always turns out, but I know one thing for sure.  I can handle that just fine if that is what is in store for me.  I don’t think I would go crazy or anything like that.  There is always plenty to do even when you have nothing to do, i’ve found.  The fireman I releived this morning had runs all night long so he didn’t get very much sleep at all.  Somebody pulled a box alarm at  apartments in our district and the rest were medical calls.  He said that he was only really needed at one of the calls.  That’s the way it goes in my business.  Well , so far I’ve had a quiet day, we’ll see how the rest of it goes. adios
