Never Ending Story

I don’t think the hell will ever end in New Orleans.  I read this article this morning.  Sometimes I think I want to make a trip over there just to see what it all looks like now, but then I think, no, I don’t want to be depressed too.  It’s a crying shame what the people over there are having to go through with the slow response to clean up and everything else.  The national guard has been called back in because the police just can’t handle it.  I can barely imagine what this cop and his team have to go through on a daily basis.

If you have any desire to see this then I think you should. Person after person, everyone says they had no idea of the scale and scope of this thing. It really is history in the making.

There is progress being made but it’s a very long and difficult road. The quarter is still fun and most of the really good restaurants are back up and running and the music is still hoppin. The things tourists come for are still here.

You’re probably right, i need to get over there. I love the city and have been coming for years, ever since college. Yeah, i’ve been hearing that all the quarter and the restaurants are open. I know NO needs the tourist dollars too. I’ve thought about when i retire just coming over there for a month at a time and playing my trumpet on the street. Thanks for your comment.
