Big Trip

I’m pumped.  Tomorrow morning we leave on a trip to England and Scotland.  We land in Manchester on Saturday morning by way of Atlanta.  We lose six hours and I hate jet lag but it will be worth it.  I will be learning to drive on the other side of the road over there.  That will be an adventure i’m pretty sure.  I’ve looked at many websites about driving in the UK and road signs etc.  I feel prepared but still somewhat apprehensive.  I really wonder how my brain will react to everything being mirror image, so to speak.  The English countryside is so beautiful and I hope to do some serious hiking/walking while over there.  We did last time we were over back in 2000.  We will visit with my daughter-in-law’s mother and dad while we are there.  The first part of the trip is in a very bohemian part of England,  the Hebden Bridge area.  Lot’s of stuff going on and just amazing in the moors/mores/morze, heh.  Well wish me luck.  We will be back home on the 21st.

This trip sounds like a lot of fun! I agree that jetlag is no fun, but the excitement of a trip like this will help overcome the jetlag somewhat. The driving will be a challenge, but I am sure you will handle it just fine. Don’t forget that you also have to sleep on the opposite side of the bed and brush your teeth with the opposite hand. :-) I am already looking forward to seeing pictures from your trip and hearing some of the stories you will have to tell.
