My mom has come back down to Texas to live with us. She was up in Tennessee but we couldn’t really take care of her long distance anymore. She was in and out of the hospital with one thing or another. We have gotten her to the doctors she needs down here and she is starting to feel better the last couple of days. She had a lot of trouble with the skin under her eyes and the eye doctor yesterday said it was an allergic reaction to the glaucoma eye drops that she was taking, so that kindof put her mind at ease that she isn’t going to go blind from it. She goes back in two weeks to have the eyes checked again. The pulmonary dr. yesterday was very thorough and ordered some tests for her to have and then we go back in a month to talk to him about those results. She is having an echo cardiogram done this afternoon. It’s keeping us busy but it’ll sure be worth it to get her feeling better. We looked at a bunch of old picture last night that my son scanned a while back. We looked at them on the large monitor that I have now. She really liked looking at them and told me about a lot of the pictures that I didn’t know about. Like where they were and who was in them. That was pretty neat for me too. Anyway she was finally feeling good enough to enjoy something for a change. Her car is here too, but i’m not sure if she is ever going to drive again. I’ll switch the insurance over and all that stuff before too long, no hurry i’m thinking. We drive it once in a while, but I may end up selling it or something. I need to switch it over to my name though soon. More later.

This was the day that we had Christmas with my wife’s side of the family. We had a lot of good snacks and had a lot of fun. My mom enjoyed herself. we went to the doctor this morning to talk to her about the results of mom’s blood work the other day. she was very anemic, so we are going to try and fix that.

Well things change pretty rapidly sometimes. My brother and Mom are coming down on Sunday now which is really better for all involved, including myself and my wife. It’s all happening at Hobby instead of intercontinental, which is a good thing and I’m off monday to take my brother back to hobby to catch his flight. She will be much better off here and may stay for the whole winter. I just hope her health straightens out so she can enjoy her time with family going here and there. I had another busy day yesterday, three or four calls. I haven’t really looked at the news or weather today but it is glorious weather today. I pretty much live from day to day anyway. Whatever it holds for anybody is pretty much up for grabs so you just go with it and adapt. sometimes that is easier said than done of course. My cousin up north just made a connection with our cousin in texas. That’s a neat thing because he is sending him a lot of info on our family that he has garnered in the last few years. i better go back to the station.

Howdy! Well it looks as if my Mom is coming to stay with us for a possibly indefinite time. I’m glad she is getting out of Jackson. My brother is going to go up and bring her down on the plane. She was coming Christmas anyway but will be here much longer I hope. I’m back at work, on my second day today. I have to come home to check my email because the internet is out at the City. I miss it over there when i’m there for three days at a time. I had three calls yesterday. 2 medical calls and an actual fire in an attic. it wasn’t very big though but if the renter hadn’t come home when he did it would have been a rip roarer in a few short minutes. One of the medical calls was interesting. A fairly young man suddenly had his face and neck really start hurting and his tongue got big. It almost seemed like bells palsey some were saying. he was breathing ok but it was very strange. his face was pretty contorted. i was awakened this morning to go to a cpr on a fairly young woman. it didn’t turn out so good. that’s not a good thing to wake up to so much. worse for her for sure. gotta head back to the station.
